Job Description
The Busser assist wait/server staff in carrying trays and bringing food to tables and maintains the cleanliness of the dining room ensuring a neat and sanitary place for guests to dine in. Reset tables according to specifications of the restaurant or events. Remove plates and silverware when all guests have finished and clear tables after guests leave. Take used tableware to dishroom and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area. Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to server as needed. Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service. Remove full trash cans and bus tubs from service stations regularly. General cleaning duties.

Work Environment
Busser work in hotels, restaurants, or several events like conference and convention centers, corporate meeting centers and in other large venues where Busser to be required. Busser must maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. They need to follow guidelines on grooming and appearance. Depending on the employer and on the event, busser may work morning, afternoons, evenings, holidays or weekends.
